The 7MMG party machine has created a monoculture that centers hightened libido, circumstancial s*x and a social life based on the houseparty or chill. The pleasure harvest has been immense, and we’re communally grateful for it.

However, repetition over time decreases satisfaction, and the lure of the wilder and longer is strong – for example, Monkey Dust is but one symptom of this stagnation.

Our intentions are often sidelined, and our complex connections regularly sacrificed, for ineluctable accelerationist thrills. In the meantime, we are forgetting many of our freaky and kinky social modes. We are losing the ability to stay connected on the dancefloor and to socialize and play outside of these well-rehearsed patterns.
