Laid back but fun, our Queer Film Night meets once a month to watch a film, meet new and familiar faces and have relaxed chats about all things cinema!
This month we watch Rafiki (2018, dir. Wanuri Kahiu).
„Good Kenyan girls become good Kenyan wives,“ but Kena and Ziki long for something more. Set amongst the colours and music of the bustling Nairobi youth scene, this film was initially banned in Kenya and was the first Kenyan film to ever be screened at Cannes Film Festival. We’ve been promised that there isn’t a tragic ending! 😍
