Visible // is an artistic project about visibility, vulnerability, and solidarity in queer lives. It begins with the ongoing process of coming out — a recurring experience that accompanies queer people throughout their lives, requiring courage while also carrying fragility and risk. Visibility makes us vulnerable, yet this vulnerability is a strength. It opens space for intimacy, solidarity, and collective care. I understand connection as a form of activism: in a world that continues to threaten and marginalise queer people and their stories, mutual care becomes resistance, and solidarity a political gesture. This project presents a series of paintings that speak to the strength of authenticity and visibility, despite the hate so many of us face. About Stella Wiemann, born in Germany in 1996, is a multidisciplinary artist working in the performing and visual arts. In her work, she seeks connecting points among different artistic languages and primarily explores human longings, abysses, and encounters. Stella worked as an actress and performer in theaters in Germany, Austria, Italy, and Hungary. As a visual artist, she has exhibited in Germany, Austria, and Portugal and collaborates with book publishers as an illustrator.
