Girl Power ist ein Dokumentarfilm, der Graffiti-
Künstlerinnen aus fünfzehn Städten in den
Mittelpunkt rückt – von Prag über Moskau,
Kapstadt, Sydney, Biel, Madrid, Berlin,
Toulouse, über Barcelona bis nach New York.
Die Graffiti-Community ist überwiegend eine cis-
Männerwelt. Und doch haben sich Graffiti-
Künstlerinnen in den letzten Jahren
zunehmend emanzipiert; (junge) Frauen und
Mädchen, sie sind an vielen Ecken, auf den
Straßen, in eigenen Crews und auf Jams
unterwegs und aktiv. Und genau diese
Geschichten fängt der Film ein.

Girl Power is a documentary that focuses on graffiti artists from fifteen cities – from Prague to Moscow, Cape Town, Sydney, Biel, Madrid, Berlin, Toulouse, Barcelona and New York.
The graffiti community is predominantly a cis-
male world. And yet female graffiti artists have become increasingly emancipated in recent years; (young) women and girls are out and active in many corners, on the streets, in their own crews and at jams.
