iQP | Community picnic
We have been carrying many feelings since the queerphobic attack on CSD, as well as the police brutality against us at IQP, all happening on the very same day. There is an increase in racism fueled by politicians, mainstream media, and people. We feel the need to come in community, create a space for us to vent, share our feelings and hold each other.
Join us for a picnic. Let us sit with each other, share food and messages related to our feelings and thoughts since Pride.
What we would like to do together?
We invite you to write, draw or paint what’s on your mind and heart, e.g. in the form of a letter to another queer sibling, to share or discard. Here are some questions to think about:
· How did the queerphobic attacks from the past week and the resulting increase in racism and violence coming from every possible direction make you feel?
· What would make you feel safer as a queer person, especially trans, BIPOC, migrant .. etc. in Germany today?
· What would you like to share with other queer people fighting beside you? We will provide some materials for writing and drawing and you’re welcome to bring your own.
