Cleo is a Black trans woman who has already been imprisoned for 1 year. She was sentenced to 12 years in prison on Wednesday. She did not get a fair trial. This conviction was never about evidence. It was about what Cleo represents —a Black trans woman, a migrant, a survivor. She has not been treated as a human being, but as a projection of fear, prejudice, and erasure. But this system cannot claim victory over Cleo. She says „You may have caged my body, but my spirit roams free. My mind is intact. My truth will live on—even when my body does not“ .

We want to support Cleo and to draw attention to transmisogynoir, transmisogyny, racism and prisons themselves.
