evening of poetry and prose
Join us for an evening of poetry and prose by Lukas Kofoed Reimann and Buroj! Readings will be followed by a discussion and Q&A.
Lukas Kofoed Reimann is a Danish/German writer, editor, teacher and care worker living in Berlin. Currently he is primarily writing speculative memoir and speculative fiction, focusing on microfiction and fragmented narratives.
Having written his masters thesis on trans* literature and kinship in 2019 he has a background in academia, which still influences his way of working and writing. He often writes about his own experiences with gender transition and chronic pain. However, anxieties about climate change and nature/human relationships in general also feature heavily in his writing.
In 2022 his text Undiagnosed was selected as one of the runners up for the Berlin Writing Prize, and in 2023 he was a recipient of a work-stipend for Non-German literature from the Berlin Senate. Lately his work has appeared in SAND journal and Stadtsprachen Magasin.
Buroj is a queer Palestinian left-handed triangle, a poet, performance artist and a dentist. A triangle in constant motion and transformation.
His work is influenced by his own story and the lens to the outside.
He didn’t forget to say that he loves to include his bike in every bio.
So, how many times can you find the word bike?
